X Factor Judges

Simon Cowell, the creator of X Factor UK and American Idol, is the only judge we’re sure as of March 2011.  There has been a lot of speculation as to who the other judges will be, including Cheryl Cole and Dermot O’Leary of the UK show, and Paula Abdul of American Idol Seasons 1-8.

Other rumored judges have been Tommy Mottola (formerly of Sony Music), Rhianna, Mel B, Mariah Carey, Katy Perry, Nicole Scherzinger, Will Smith, Mick Jagger, Noel Gallagher of Oasis, George Michael, and Elton John.  Earlier in March, Simon went on record saying that Katy Perry and Elton John were no longer in the running.

Whoever the judges will be, they will be very involved in almost every stage of the contest.  Each of the judges will mentor a category of contestants.  We’re very excited to see who is chosen!
